Border Police arrested an unidentified 35-year-old Arab woman in the Old City for allegedly planning to use a knife to carry out a weekend stabbing attack. “Police units on Saturday night patrolling the Old City spotted an Arab woman behaving suspiciously while her hand was in her bag,” said Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld. “Border Police immediately approached the female suspect and arrested her. When arrested, police found the knife in her bag. During questioning she admitted she planned on carrying out a knife attack.” Rosenfeld said police security measures continue to prevent terrorist attacks leading up to the Chanukah festival and Christmas celebrations throughout the city.
