Chief of staff of a Likud minister, Afula officials questioned in 'Yisrael Beytenu' affair

The Chief of Staff of a Likud minister and two senior officials from the Afula municipality were brought in for questioning by police anti-fraud investigators on Monday morning, as part of the so-called "Yisrael Beytenu" corruption case.
Police on Monday morning also carried out searches at the three suspects' homes and offices, as well as the Afula municipality.
Police said that as the questioning proceeds on Monday they will decide whether or not to bring the three new suspects for a remand hearing later in the day.
They added that Faina Kirschenbaum, the Yisrael Beytenu MK and deputy minister at the forefront of the corruption case, was questioned by investigators again on Monday, as was Yisrael Beytenu Chief of Staff David "Daoud" Godowsky.
