US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Tuesday said that her country would do everything in its power to stop those responsible for the cowardly act committed in Kabul earlier in the day, Israel Radio reported.

On Tuesday Taliban forces launched a multi-stage attack on Kabul's embassy district in which gunmen and suicide bombers attacked embassies, including the American embassy, in Afghanistan's capital.

One person was killed and 16 wounded in the attack.
