Death toll from Hurricane Irene rises to 21

The death toll of those killed by Hurricane Irene rose to 21 on Monday after it swept through the East Coast.
Over the weekend, the storm left some 5 million homes and businesses without electricity, caused widespread flooding and downed thousands of trees. Suburban New Jersey and rural Vermont were hit particularly hard.
