Defense Ministry appoints new head of Missile Defense Organization

The Defense Ministry appointed Col. (res.) Moshe Fatal, a senior Elbit executive, as the new head of the Missile Defense Organization (also known as the Homa administration).
The decision comes two months after the former head off the MDO, Yair Ramati was ousted from his position after the Defense Ministry said it found he had placed classified data on his personal computer, in violation of strict information security procedures.
Patel is currently director of the business division and solutions for missile defense at Elisra, a part of Elbit Systems. He will enter his new position in the coming weeks. The Defense Ministry said he had over 20 years of missile defense experience, and had worked on core command and control systems for the Arrow 2, Arrow 3, Davdi's Sling, and Iron Dome air defense systems.
