Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom said Tuesday that the West must give support to the young forces protesting in Iran, Army Radio reported.

During his tour of the North, Shalom said "Unlike the reluctant, hestitant, support given in the past, today we must give full support to the Iranian peoples' rights for freedom and liberty, which they deserve. We must ensure that the oil reserves found in the area do not fall into the hands of extremist hostility."
