Dozens of Israeli civilians gathered in front of an IDF base near the Beit El settlement on Friday to protest the pending evacuation of the Ulpana outpost.
A number of the civilians tried to enter the base. IDF forces used riot-dispersal means, including a stun grenade, to disperse the crowd.
There were no injuries as a result of the incident.
week, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu blocked Knesset legislation that would
have saved unauthorized settler homes from demolition – paving the way for the
evacuation of five buildings built on private Palestinian land in the Ulpana
outpost, on the outskirts of Beit El.
