CAIRO — Egypt's state television said the country's nighttime curfew has been relaxed.
It now starts at midnight and ends at 6 a.m. instead of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Saturday's announcement comes one day after President Hosni Mubarak stepped down, handing over power to the armed forces after an 18-day uprising by millions of protesters demanding his ouster and the introduction of sweeping democratic reforms.
