An official Egyptian economic delegation arrived in Israel Sunday night to address joint economic issues in the first visit of its kind since the overthrow of former Egyptian president Hosni Mubarak over a year ago.

The delegation came to Israel to address a number of problems which have arisen in various aspects of Egyptian-Israeli bilateral trade following the Egyptian revolution. No specific issued were specified.

A member of the Egyptian delegation said that the meetings would also focus on the trilateral free trade agreement signed between Egypt, Israel and the US in December 2004.

An Egyptian economic representative told Egyptian television that the delegation will engage in discussions about new joint economic projects as well, according to AFP.
