Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad condemned Iran’s invitation to Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh to attend the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit due to be held in Tehran on Sunday, and said the move was “against Palestinian national unity,” Israel Radio reported.

In an exclusive statement to Ma'an News Agency, Fayyad said that the invitation would undermine one of the main Palestinian achievements regarding their sole representation through the Palestinian Liberation Organization at the conference, and would make public the rift between "our people and the national movement."
