Firefighters were battling a blaze that broke out between the Palestinian village of Hawara and the Yitzhar settlement in the West Bank on Wednesday.

Israeli and Palestinian fire crews were working in tandem to control the fire which threatened caravans in Yitzhar.

Police said that they would evacuate caravans in which they believed human life was in danger.

An investigation into the cause of the fire would be opened, police said.
