Firefighters evacuated ten people from a fire in an apartment on Bezalel Street on Monday morning. Five people were lightly injured from smoke inhalation. Heavy smoked blocked the stairwell, trapping some of the residents on upper floors. Firefighters were able to evacuate the residents using a crane and ladders.

The fire was quickly extinguished by five crews of firefighters, who opened an investigation into the cause of the fire. It appears to have started on the ground floor.
