A fire broke out in the Jerusalem Forest near Mt. Herzl and Yad Veshem Sunday. The dry heat combined with a light wind was causing the fire to spread quickly as eight firefighting crews along with two planes attempted to gain control over the blaze.

No injuries were reported, Israel Radio said.

Last Friday, a fire that began at the Ein Tina nature reserve and spread to the Nahal Gilabon in the Golan Heights burned an estimated 10,00 dunams of land.
