Goldwasser widow: Video of soldier abduction shows nothing

July 28, 2012 20:39

The widow of kidnapped soldier Ehud "Udi" Goldwasser, Karnit, told Channel 2 in an interview on Saturday that the release of a video allegedly showing her husband's abduction by Hezbollah terrorists in 2006 was "a manipulation of the media...all for the purpose of publicity."

She commented: "The film does not show us anything...if anything it simply reaffirms that they kidnapped him."

Regarding the EU decision not to declare Hezbollah a terrorist organization, Goldwasser said: "If this isn't an example of terror, what is?".

Goldwasser said that Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah had been hiding in a bunker since the kidnapping of her husband, and would meet his end "sooner or later."
