Haifa mayor: Fire spread categorically in beautiful forests

Haifa mayor Yonah Yahav told the Jerusalem Post on Thursday that "from the morning, the fire spread categorically in the beautiful forests."
"We started evacuating people well in advance, so people wouldn't panic. We evacuated the university and all the dorms," Yahav said.
"It's better to do things well in advance just in case they will be necessary later. Contributions will be needed eventually to rehabilitate thousands of dunams of forests that were lost," Haifa's mayor said.
