Hanegbi officially resigns from Knesset

Suspended MK Tzahi Hanegbi officially resigned from the Knesset today, after the State Attorney's Office could not appeal the acquittal of bribery and fraud charges against him due to the lawyers' strike, reported Israel Radio.

Hangebi decided not to appeal the charges against him. He was suspended from the Knesset six weeks ago.

Hanegbi's resignation from the Knesset will go into effect Thursday at midnight.
