A crowd of ultra-Orthodox attempted to stop Beit Shemesh inspectors from checking to see if businesses were closed in accordance with the law on Yom Hazikaron.

Dozens of haredim surrounded a municipality car on Nahal Hayarden street and started yelling at the inspectors. A police patrol in the area arrived on the scene and dispersed the crowd. There were no injuries or damage.
