IDF chief Eisenkot to discuss defense budget in Knesset committee meeting

IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen Gadi Eisenkot was scheduled to appear before the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee on Thursday for a discussion on the defense budget.

Eisenkot was not expected to discuss the entire defense budget, but rather he will focus on a clause connected to the preparedness and ability of the IDF and the budget's consequences on the army. He will present plans to strengthen the army along with the expected savings from unit closures.
