A Patriot missile battery was deployed near Haifa on Monday following a UAV infiltration into Israeli airspace on Sunday morning, Israel Radio reported.

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) crossed into Israel's airspace and was successfully shot down by the air force. According to the Israel Radio report, Channel Two news learned the IDF placed a "Patriot" defense battery on Mount Carmel on Monday.

The Patriot system is part of the IDF ballistic protection and is supposed to intercept medium-range missiles and drones.
