IDF to discipline 16 soldiers who abandoned West Bank base

Sixteen soldiers from the Heruv Battalion in the Kfir Brigade rebelled against their commanders on Wednesday and walked out of their base in the West Bank in protest against the decision to not ease their military service conditions. The soldiers had demanded that more junior troops perform menial tasks around the base - such as guard duty, and that veteran soldiers be permitted to have more time off. When they were denied their request, they walked off the base. IDF sources said disciplinary action will be taken soldiers.
