Israel issued a complaint to the UN secretary general and the president of the Security Council over the escalation in the South and over the Security Council's failure to condemn the terror attacks last Thursday that claimed the lives of eight people, Israel Radio reported Tuesday.

Israeli Ambassador to the UN Ron Prosor wrote in the letter that the Gaza Strip, ruled by Hamas, continues to be a bastion for terrorist activity, adding that over a hundred rockets were fired against Israel in the recent days.

Every rocket attack, Prosor added, highlights the farce of Palestinian unity, which is manifested in terrorism, hatred and violence, Israel Radio said.
