An IDF soldier was arrested on suspicion of stealing a bag, while on vacation in Cyprus with his girlfriend, Israel Radio reported on Sunday.

The soldier reportedly denies the charges, and will appear in court on Monday.

The soldier's girlfriend told Israel Radio that he was beaten by the policemen, and his mother said that he is being discriminated against because he is Israeli.
