Hideo Kishimoto, mayor of Genkaicho in Japan's Saga prefecture, approved on Thursday the restart of two nuclear reactors at his city's power plant, Japan's Daily Yomiuri Online reported.

According the report however, Saga Governor Yasushi Furukawa voiced his reservations on restarting the reactors until safety can be assured.

Reactors in Yumiuri, Japan, a city near Tokyo, were shut down preemptively after a March 11 earthquake and tsunami ravaged Japan and seriously damaged the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.
