Haim Pearlman, suspected of stabbing a number of Palestinian men to death in the late 1990s, was remanded in custody until July 22 by the Petah Tikva District Court on Thursday.
The suspected, who is associated with the outlawed Kach movement, was arrested Tuesday night by Jerusalem Police and the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency). As well as murder, he is suspected of attempting to murder at least five more Palestinians, and possessing illegal weapons.
Pearlman, 29, from Beit Rabban near Yavne, is said to have traveled in far-right circles and has been described by security services as a member of the Kach movement. He is married and has three children.
