Any new approved building projects with greater than 20 units must provide 20 percent of the building's apartments as suitable for young students at a rate 20 percent below market price, Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat announced on Sunday according to Army Radio.

Barkat expressed the belief that the city's youth and student populations will feel the effects of the new plan in the real estate market within a few months.
