Kenyan official: Gunman still holding hostages in Nairobi mall

Gunman overnight Saturday were still holding captives inside a Nairobi mall as security forces continued with attempts to secure the premise of a deadly attack earlier in the day, AFP cited Kenyan security official as saying.
More than 12 hour after gunman began the attack, the Kenya National Disaster Operation Center said an unknown number of hostages remained in the captivity by gunman inside the Westgate shopping mall in Kenya's capital, according to AFP.
"We will free all those inside and stop this, of course we cannot give details of the operations except to say that everything that can be done is being done," a Kenyan security officer told AFP after forces had reportedly freed five hostages in the early hours of Sunday.
