Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei met with Hamas Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh in Iran on Sunday, vowing to "always remain by the Palestinian people and the resistance.”

Iranian news agency Press TV quoted Khamenei as warning Haniyeh against the prospect of the reconciliation agreement with Fatah weakening the Islamic resistance.

Haniyeh praised Iran for its support of the Palestinian cause during the meeting with Khamenei.
