Knesset Law c'tee to hold discussion after judge's suicide

The Knesset's Constitution, Law and Justice Committee will hold a discussion next week following the suicide of Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court Judge Maurice Benatar.

Benatar was found by his wife Tuesday evening with a plastic bag over his head and a suicide note resting next to him. The suicide note explained that case overload at work was among the reasons the judge decided to kill himself.

Committee chairman MK David Rotem (Israel Beiteinu) invited the heads of the Supreme Court, the Court Administrator, various judges and attorneys to the meeting.
