MK Einat Wilf (Labor) gave birth to a 3.35 kilogram son on Monday morning at Chaim Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer. The boy, who she named Jonathan, is the first child of Wilf and her husband, German journalist Richard Gutjahr.

Wilf became the third MK to give birth in the current Knesset and in the history of the state, following Anastasia Michaeli (Israel Beiteinu) and Gila Gamliel (Likud). Two male MKs have also had children since the Knesset's term began 20 months ago: Coalition chairman Ze'ev Elkin (Likud) and Michael Ben-Ari (National Union).
