Lavie: Dismiss judge that said 'some girls enjoy rape'

Yesh Atid MK Aliza Lavie asked Justice Minister Tzipi Livni on Wednesday morning to dismiss the judge Nissim Yeshaaya after saying that "some girls enjoy rape."

The district court judge's comment was made during a hearing on the rape of a 13-year-old girl by four Palestinian youths. His comment was met with stunned silence, Army Radio reported.

"I am bothered by the court's response, that told Army Radio that 'the judge's comments were not intended to hurt or dismiss victims of rape.' The point is not whether or not he intended to hurt anyone but the fact this is his view," Lavie said.
