Livni takes aim at Netanyahu: Who released thousands of terrorists into Hamas hands?

Hatnua leader Tzipi Livni on Tuesday rejected Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's claims that he is the only one capable of ensuring Israel's security.

"He didn't sound so amused when he called for my help during Operation Protective Edge, when he needed to enlist the aid of the US Secretary of State [John Kerry] and the international community." She also slammed the prime minister for releasing thousands of Hamas terrorists in prisoner swaps.

Livni further chided Netanyahu for harming the sense of security of the communities around Gaza by removing soldiers from the area and claimed that she could protect Israel's security and political interests.
