MK Margalit testifying in submarine scandal

Police are questioning Zionist Union MK Erel Margalit Thursday night at their Lahav 443 headquarters in Lod on the police case investigating the government's purchase of expensive submarines from a German company that employed Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's lawyer David Shimron.

Sources close to Margalit said he was being questioned on information he has retrieved in an effort to incriminate the prime minister. Margalit went to Germany last year to seek evidence.

Due to the questioning, Margalit canceled a political event in the South, despite it being five days before the July 4 Labor leadership primary.
