Man kayaking at Sdot Yam beach collapses and dies

An man in his fifties who had been kayaking at Sdot Yam beach near Caesarea on Saturday, collapsed and died after struggling to shore.

According to police, the man signaled to a companion standing on the beach that he was in distress before exiting the kayak and collapsing. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police were investigating whether the man drowned or died of health issues.
