Man sentence to 28 years in jail for rape of step daughter

The Jerusalem District Court on Wednesday sentenced a 39-year-old man to 28 years in prison for raping his step daughter over the course of seven and a half years.

The man, who first sexually attacked his step daughter when she was six years old, was also convicted of hundreds of instances of indecent assault and sodomy.

The judges stated in their sentence that the acts worsened over the years. The man managed to get to the girl and attack her even after she was removed from her home by social services and put in foster care.

He will also be made to pay NIS 50,000 in compensation.
