Man's foot cut off by elevator door in Netanya

A 44-year-old man's foot was cut off after an elevator door in a Netanya building closed on it, Magen David Adom reported Tuesday.
He was taken to Sheba Medical Center at Tel Hashomer and is in moderate condition.
Construction workers doing renovations on the site managed to open the door and wrap a bandage around the man's leg to stem the bleeding until paramedics arrived.
The man remained fully conscious during the entire accident.
