CAIRO - NATO warships bombed "military and civilian targets" in the rebel-held city of Misrata in western Libya and the adjacent town of Zlitan on Monday , state television reported quoting a military spokesman.

Jamahiriya television said the attacks caused several casualties and some damage but gave no further details. The report could not be independently confirmed.
