NPA: Do not travel to fire areas, situation still life-threatening

The Nature and Parks Authority (NPA) issued a statement Friday warning the public to steer clear of all fire areas over the weekend in order to not interfere with firefighters and security forces on the ground.

According to the statement the situation in multiple areas is still life-threatening.

Additionally the public is reminded that currently the lighting of any fires is strictly prohibited.

Any citizens who encounter injured or distressed wildlife are requested to quickly report the incident to *3639, the animals will be transferred to a veterinary hospital for care.
