National Infrastructures Minister Uzi Landau (Israel Beiteinu) declared Friday morning that water prices would indeed rise by the planned 25 percent "because the water economy needs to be saved."
"The half percent lowering of value added tax (VAT) could cover the cost of the price hike," he added. "Otherwise, it will fall on the public."
