Netanyahu announces Pardo as new Mossad chief

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced at Sunday's cabinet meeting that he has decided to appoint Tamir Pardo as the new head of the Mossad.

Pardo will replace Meir Dagan, who headed the intelligence organization since 2002. He served as Dagan's deputy before leaving the organization in 2009.
