New York flights resume after quake delay

NEW YORK - Flights from the New York area's John F. Kennedy and Newark airports resumed on Tuesday after having been delayed because of the earthquake that struck the US East Coast, a spokesman for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said.
Authorities temporarily delayed flights in order to inspect the runways and control towers, the spokesman said.
