Nigeria: Ex-militant leader arrested over bombings

LAGOS, Nigeria — A spokeswoman for Nigeria's secret police tells The Associated Press an ex-leader of a militant group that claimed responsibility for a dual car bombing has been arrested.
Marilyn Ogar, a spokeswoman for the State Security Service, told the AP on Saturday night that Henry Okah had been arrested at his Johannesburg home. Ogar said Okah had made threats to attack Nigeria's 50th anniversary of independence celebration in Abuja.
Ogar also says her agency, responsible for Nigeria's security, had a tip-off from a foreign partner that it faced a possible attack.
Twelve people died and dozens others were injured in the attacks.
