Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Thursday said that "If Syria seeks peace, it will find a loyal partner in Israel to achieve this goal."

Netanyahu made the comments during a meeting with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, and added that it was hard to start negotiations with Damascus, as long as it wants to see the results of the talks even before they begin.

He also said that France and South America, among others, have been involved in mediation efforts between the Israel and Syria.
