PM worries Egypt will fall into hands of Islamic radicals

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Monday said that his concern and the concern of numerous leaders who he has spoken to over the last few days is that Egypt doesn't fall into the hands of Islamic radicals. Netanyahu made his comments at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
Merkel said that she had been in contact with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and urged him to begin a dialogue with the opposition. She denied the characterization that the West has abandoned Mubarak overnight, saying that she raised issues of personal freedoms when she had met the Egyptian president on numerous occasions in the past.
