Security forces on Tuesday arrested a Palestinian suspect found with automatic weapon parts hidden in his vehicle near the West Bank settlement of Ma'aleh Adumim.

During searches of the vehicle at a checkpoint, security forces found components of an M16 rifle concealed in the car's engine.

Police were investigating the 29-year-old motorist from the West Bank village of Idhna.
