Peres: US-Israel relationship is strong, should not be trivialized

Amid tensions over the recent Iran nuclear negotiations President Shimon Peres said on Thursday that the relationship between Israel and the US is deep and that US support of Israel is unique.

"Today there may be a disagreement, but we must manage it with a true and deep understanding of the issues. If there are comments that we have we must make them heard but we must remember that not only do we know everything. I think that the Americans also know some things," the president said at the the Ben Gurion Prize award ceremony.
