President Shimon Peres was hospitalized Monday overnight at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Jerusalem after complaining of pains in his leg, Army Radio reported.

Peres was brought to the hospital by a security guard after suffering a blow to his leg.

He underwent a series of checks which determined that everything was in order, and was then released back to his home in Jerusalem.

His schedule on Tuesday is expected to continue as planned.
