President Shimon Peres is scheduled to meet with Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak in Cairo on Sunday.

The presidents will focus on future cooperation on different levels between their two countries. They will also discuss the most recent peace process developments, during which Peres will emphasize the importance of starting direct talks between Israel and the Palestinians before the moratorium on construction in the settlements ends in September.

Mubarak will also host a luncheon for Peres.
