Peretz: Labor has lost historic standing as party of peace

Amir Peretz on Friday justified leaving the Labor party in favor of The Tzipi Livni Party, telling Channel 2 that "Labor has lost its historic standing as the party of peace."

Peretz took the third slot in former foreign minister Tzipi Livni's party.

The former defense minister assured Israelis that the Labor leader Shelly Yacimovich would be insignificant in the upcoming elections. "The question will be: Either Tzipi or Bibi."
