Peru president to swear in lawyer Jimenez as prime minister

LIMA, July 23 - President Ollanta Humala has picked Justice Minister Juan Jimenez to be his next prime minister, a source close to the Cabinet shuffle said on Monday, as the Peruvian leader tries to calm a wave of violent anti-mining protests.

Jimenez, a human rights lawyer, will be promoted at a swearing in ceremony later on Monday.
