Police: TA fire likely caused by gas canister explosion

The fire in south Tel Aviv in which two people were injured Thursday was likely caused by a gas canister exploding, MDA paramedics and police said.

One person received moderate-to-serious burns on his face and body and was evacuated to Sourasky Medical Center in the city.

Another person was lightly injured and treated on the scene by MDA paramedics.

Firefighters successfully gained control of the blaze.
